Long Island Resort is located just off the shore of Airlie Beach, one of the Whitsundays 70 islands set amidst frangipanis, coconut palms and tropical flame trees, surrounded by rainforests and the spectacular Great Barrier Reef. Accommodation:

Long Island Resort has quality accommodation for affordable prices. Your cost includes all meals on the Island, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Accommodation is a 3.5 star rating and rooms (excluding Lodge) are air conditoned, with tea & coffee facilities, hairdryer, television, in-house movies, balcony with garden or ocean views.

Long Island is located withing the Whitsundays Islands group on the north eastern coast of Queensland. It is easily accessible by daily launch transfers via both Hamilton Island and Shute Harbour (Airlie Beach)

HAMILTON ISLAND: Fantasea Cruises operate regular services from Hamilton Island Airport via Shute Harbour to Long Island Resort with a travel time by comfortable high speed catamaran from 35 minutes.

SHUTE HARBOUR: Fantasea Cruises operate regular services from Shute Harbour. The cost is $58 return per adult and $54 return per child (4 - 14 years) .

BY AIR: The Whitsundays are services by two domestic airports, Hamilton Island and Whitsunday Coast Airport on the mainland at Proserpine. Flying time is approx 1.5 hours north of Brisbane, 2 hours north of Sydney, 3 hours from Melbourne and 1 hour from Cairns to Hamilton. Direct services operate from Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, with domestic and international connections via Brisbane, sydney and Cairns Airports. From Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine) Airport, Whitsundays Transit Coaches meet all flights for a 30 minute transfer to Shute Harbour where Fantasea Cruises provide a regular 15 minute transfer to Long Island Resort.

BY ROAD: The Whitsundays can be accessed by the Bruce Highway which covers the East coast of Queensland from Cairns to Brisbane. Dependant on conditions, driving time from Brisbane is approx 12 hours north to Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour and 8 hours south from Cairns. Regular Coach services operate into Airlie Beach. BY RAIL: Regular daily rail services depart from Brisbane, heading north and from Cairns and Townsville heading south. A Whitsundays Transit Coach service is available from Proserpine Rail Station with launch connection from Shute Harbour to Long Island Resort
